My goal during college is to not only graduate with my degree in education but to also be a certified teacher. My future plan after college is to teach and later receive my master degree, where I will be able to further my career. When I receive my master degree I would like to become a school counselor and own my own daycare.

Throughout my years of school, I always knew that I wanted to pursue a career where I am helping kids. I came to the conclusion that teaching was the best fit. Being able to teach gives me an opportunity to not only help better students future but it gives me a chance to make a difference in their lives. Whether I help make a difference in one or hundred students, I am still able to make an impact on a least one child’s future. That alone motivates me to strive hard so I can be the best role model for my students.

I would like to become a counselor in the future because I would like to offer guidance to individuals who needs a support system to deal with their issues or concerns. I once was a child that was battling a lot of inner problems within myself that was hard for me to deal with alone. However, when I went to counseling I realize there were a few problems that within me that I never acknowledge but through counseling I was able to face those issues. That is my goal as a counselor, to help those that do not have any guidance become guided.
