What is ISTE Standards for Educators?
ISTE stands for International Society for Technology in Education.
ISTE helps students become empowered learners. There are a few standards which promote practice, collaboration with peers, challenges teachers to rethink traditional approaches and prepare students to drive their own learning.

Learner
The first standard for ISTE is learner.
Educators continually improve their practice by learning from and with others and exploring proven practices that leverage technology to improve student learning. I would implement this standard in the classroom by:
 Setting professional learning goals to apply pedagogical approaches made by technology and reflect on their effectiveness.  Pursuing professional interest by creating and participating in local and global learning networks.  Staying current with research that supports improved student learning outcomes, including finding from the learning sciences.

Leader
The second educator standard is leader.
Educators seek out opportunities for leadership to support student empowerment and success and to improve teaching and learning. I would implement this standard in the classroom by:
 Shaping, advancing, and accelerating a shared vision for empowered learning with technology by engaging with education stakeholders.  Advocating for fair access to educational technology, digital content, and learning opportunities to meet the diverse needs of all students.  Modeling the colleagues, the identification, exploration, evaluation, and adoption of new digital resources and tools for learning

Citizen The third educator standard is citizen.
Educators inspire students to positively contribute to and responsibly participate in the digital world. I would implement this standard in the classroom by:
 Creating physical experience for learners to make positive, socially responsible contributions and exhibit empathetic behavior online that build relationships and community.  Establishing a learning culture that promotes curiosity and critical examination of online resources and fosters digital literacy and media influence.  Mentoring students is safe, legal, and ethical practices with digital tools and the protection of intellectual rights and property.

Collaborator The fourth educator standard is collaborator.
Educators dedicate time to collaborate with both colleagues and students to improve practice, discover and share resources and ideas, and solve problems. I would implement this standard in the classroom by:  Dedicate Planning time collaborate with colleague to create authentic learning experiences that leverage technology.  Collaborate and co learn with students to discover and use new digital resources and diagnose and troubleshoot technology issues.  Use collaborative tools to expand student’s authentic real world learning experiences by engaging virtually with students

Designer
The fifth educator standard is designer.
Educators design authentic, learner-driven activities and environments that recognize and accommodate learner variability. I would implement this standard in the classroom by:
 Using technology to create, adapt and personalize learning experiences that foster independent learning and accommodate learner differences and needs.   Designing authentic learning activities that align with content area standards and use digital tools and resources to maximize active, deep learning.  Exploring and applying instructional design principles to create innovative digital learning environments that engage and support learning.

Facilitator
The sixth educator standard is facilitator.
Educators facilitate learning with technology to support student achievement of the ISTE Standards for Students. I would implement this standard in the classroom by: ï‚· Managing the use of technology and student learning strategies in digital platforms, virtual environments, hands-on makerspaces or in the field. ï‚· Creating learning opportunities that challenge students to use a design process and computational thinking to innovate and solve problems. ï‚· Modeling and nurture creativity and creative expression to communicate ideas, knowledge or connections.

Analyst
The seventh educator standard is analyst.
Educators understand and use data to drive their instruction and support students in achieving their learning goals. I would implement this standard in the classroom by: ï‚· Providing alternative ways for students to demonstrate competency and reflect on their learning using technology. ï‚· Using technology to design and implement a variety of formative and summative assessments that accommodate learner needs, provide timely feedback to students and inform instruction.  ï‚· Using assessment data to guide progress and communicate with students, parents and education stakeholders to build student self-direction.

What is ISTE Standards for Teachers?
Effective teachers apply ISTE standards for students as they implement learning experiences to engage and improve students learning. 1. Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity
Teachers use their knowledge of teaching and learning to facilitate experiences that advocates students learning, creativity, and virtual environments. I would implement this in my classroom by:  Promoting, supporting, and modeling creative thinking and inventiveness  ïƒ¼  Engage students in exploring real-world issues and solving authentic problems using digital tools and resources

2. Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments
Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating tools and resources to maximize content learning in context. I would implement this in my classroom by:
 Designing relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity.  Communicating relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital age media and formats.  Providing students with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments aligned with content and technology standards, and use resulting data to inform learning and teaching.

3. Model digital age work and learning
Teachers exhibit knowledge of work of innovative professional and digital society. I would implement this in my classroom by:
 Demonstrating fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations.  Collaborating with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success and innovation.

4. Promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility. Teachers understand societal responsibilities in an evolving digital culture and exhibit ethical behaviors in their professional practices. I would implement this in my classroom by:  Addressing the diverse needs of all learners by using learner-centered strategies providing equitable access to appropriate digital tools and resources.
 Promoting responsible social interactions related to the use of technology and information

5. Engage in professional growth and leadership
Teachers improve their professional practice by exhibiting leadership in their school and demonstrating the effective use of digital tools and resources. I would implement this in my classroom by:  Participate in local and global learning communities to explore creative applications of technology to improve student learning.  Contribute to the effectiveness, vitality, and self renewal of the teaching profession and of their school and community
